The active USB 2.0 extension cable by Good Connections® connects your faraway USB devices (e.g. your printer or scanner) with devices which are equipped with an USB–A output (e.g. your computer or notebook). The integrated amplifier prevents signal loss over longer distances and therefore repeals the distance restrictions for connecting USB devices. This extension cable is cascadable, i.e. various active extensions can be connected in series in order to further extend the USB connection. High-quality cable structure The double shielded conductor consists by 99,99% of oxygen free copper (OFC). This enables an increased signal transmission and a higher breaking strength of the cable. To ensure a loss-free signal transmission the plugs are equipped with copper contacts. Easy handling thanks to Plug and Play Plug in and go! Simply connect the signal source (USB-A socket) to a USB input of your device – driver installation is not necessary! Additional power cord for devices without their own power supply The included power cord can be connected to all devices that are being fed by BUS-power (i.e. devices without a power supply or battery. Otherwise the power could not last over a distance longer than 5 meters. For devices that do have their own power supply this power cord is not necessary (e.g. printers).
