The headset adapter from Good Connections® allows you to use your conventional headset with two three-pin 3.5 mm jack plugs on your smartphone, tablet, notebook and many other devices with four-pin 3.5 mm jack socket. For easy connection, the connectors are color coded. Pin assignment according to OMTP standard. The four-pin jack connector of this adapter is assigned according to the Open Mobile Terminal Platform (OMTP) standard. According to this standard, the connector is assigned as follows from tip to shank: - L = Left audio signal - R = Right audio signal - AUX = Additional signal, e.g. microphone - GND = Common ground (return line) Technical specification: - Connector 1: 3.5 mm jack plug (4-pin, gold-plated) - Jack plug with pin assignment according to OMTP standard (audio left / audio right / AUX / GND) - Connector 2: 2x 3.5 mm jack socket (3-pin, gold-plated) - Jack socket (pink) = microphone connection - Jack socket (green) = audio connection - Conductor material made of copper (CU) Color: Black Length: approx. 20 cm Notes: Please check first if your devices support the OMTP or the CTIA standard. A four-pin 3.5 mm jack socket with CTIA pin assignment is required for the adapter to function properly. The OMTP variant is used in most older devices, the CTIA variant in most newer devices, for example Apple devices (iPhone, iPad, iPod and MacBook) as well as modern smartphones and notebooks.
